Engaging Learners with Complex Learning Difficulties & Disabilities - Book
Children with complex learning difficulties/disabilities have co-morbidities and overlapping conditions that present as difficult learning patterns and extreme behaviour.
Combinations of issues and needs, e.g. mental health, relationship, social, physical, medical, sensory, communication and cognitive often result in learning disengagement.
The Engagement for Learning Framework was developed and trialled by 100+ settings (early years to post-16) and gives practitioners from different disciplines a shared method of assessing, recording and developing personalised learning pathways and evidencing progression.
We also have a range of other practical assessment and teaching frameworks for supporting those with complex needs. Please check out our related resources, but in particular items 56768, 56711, 56671 and 56498 may be of interest.
