Language Development Lessons for Early Childhood
Written by a Speech and Language Pathologist!
This book supports the development of listening skills via varied content whilst providing structured repetition for practice and reinforcement. It provides different ways to encourage young learners to answer orally and communicate with others.
Offers three techniques to encourage interaction; "yes/no answers" (enabling the reluctant talker to shake the head or simply answer no or yes), "choosing between answers" and "completing sentences".
This resource follows on from the Developing Receptive and Expressive Language book (code 56749). It expands on specific skills so that they can be mastered. This resource is extremely versatile, providing children with a firm foundation to developing strong language skills. This book gives therapists many opportunities to add oral language practice to each skill, as well as introducing and developing new vocabulary skills.
Fully photocopiable. Engaging, fun content and illustrations. Gradeable, suitable for approximate ages 5-8.
