ColorCards: What Are They Thinking? - 30 Cards

This is an inspiring and creative card-based set of photographic cards for developing empathy, understanding the feelings of others and recognition of emotions.

The set was created to stimulate animated discussion and enhance understanding of what others might be thinking using visual cues and context. Activity participants imagine what the people featured in the pictures might be thinking and how they may feel in a similar situation. They then fill in the speech bubble either verbally or in writing.

This imaginative approach provides an innovative way of initiating conversation with either individuals and groups and can also be used for creative writing exercises with people of all ages. 

This boxed card set provides an opportunity to:

• Explore the relationship between thoughts and feelings
• Recognise that behaviour can affect others
• Look at the influences on thoughts and feelings, of factors such as surprise, stress, anger and excitement.
