Product Design Competition - Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the Product Design ("Competition") organised by Rompa ("Organiser").
1.2 By entering the Competition, entrants (and their parents or guardians) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Competition is open to children aged up to age 11 who are residents of United Kingdom.
2.2 Only one entry per child is permitted. Multiple entries from the same participant will be disqualified.
2.3 Entries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of the child.
2.4 Employees of Rompa and their immediate family members are eligible to enter for their school.
3. Entry Requirements
3.1 Entries must be original and created by the entrant.
3.2 Submissions must adhere to the theme of the Competition, as specified in the promotional material.
3.3 Entries must be submitted via email by 30th April 2025.
3.4 The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, late, or does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
4. Judging and Winner Selection
4.1 Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme.
4.2 The judging panel will consist of representatives from Rompa and/or independent judges.
4.3 The winner(s) will be announced on 9th May via email and/or telephone through the school.
4.4 The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. Prizes
5.1 Prizes will be detailed in the Competition promotional materials.
5.2 Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative rewards.
5.3 The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value if circumstances require.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 By entering, participants (and their parents/guardians) grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, and display the submitted design in any media for promotional and marketing purposes.
6.2 The entrant retains ownership of their original design but acknowledges that the Organiser may make modifications or adaptations as necessary.
7. Data Protection
7.1 Personal data collected as part of the Competition will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Competition and in accordance with the Organiser’s privacy policy.
7.2 By entering, parents/guardians consent to the use of their child’s name and entry for promotional purposes if they win.
8. Liability
8.1 The Organiser accepts no responsibility for lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete entries due to technical or other reasons.
8.2 The Organiser is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation in the Competition or use of any prize.
9. General
9.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the Competition at any time without notice.
9.2 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws.
