These resources aims to provide a structured environment in which children and young people who are experiencing anxiety feel safe to discuss worries and share ideas and furthermore to realise everyone has worries, develop empathy and understanding, learn that most can be overcome using strategies and help develop these to improve self-management skills.
Each card focuses on one specific worry and research done prior to creating these sets shows that although some worries are personal, many are commonly shared. The Little Tin of Teenage Worries focuses on 7 categories: social networking, peer pressure, personal issues, the world, home and family, relationships, career and working life.
There is also a Little Tin of Big Worries (57070) which concentrates on different topics. Can be used for group work or 1-1 sessions.
