We love storytelling - it's a key parenting, therapeutic and educational activity providing a foundation for a wealth of learning...and it's fun!
Children are encouraged to listen and interact with others whilst developing language, vocabulary and grammar. They also begin to understand the complexities of language such as prepositions, metaphors and inferences, especially if these are purposefully incorporated. Stories can be pitched at any learning level, with any theme and be as complex or as simple as needed.
Interactive stories using illustrative props such as puppets, messy play and things to hold, touch, feel or taste can simultaneously develop fine motor skills, imagination and provide sensory input too! Check out our PINTEREST page for great ideas!
