A complete therapy programme for developing fluent speech. 3 potential components of stuttering are addressed: Motor (rate/control, continuous phonation, bouncing, sliding, easy onsets, light contacts) Linguistic (problem solving, informing, conversation, expressing feelings, length, complexity of response), Psychosocial (positive attitudes, reduce emotional reactions and desensitising fluency disruptors). Focuses on forward flowing speech or word initiation techniques, or both. Participants take an active role in identifying what they do when stuttering and determining what needs to be changed and are encouraged to verbalise goals and behaviours, self-monitor and self-reinforce.
